Simply Clean 4

I am a driver, a racer. I don’t really attend many car shows, but there are a select few that are so big, its actually really awesome. Simply Clean is a group that has gained a huge following and has been known to bring in 1,000 + cars. November 10th was to be the 4th show they have put on.  They chose a really big facility in Daytona, FL called “Destination Daytona”. I have been to this venue in 2009 for a stunt show drift exhibition during spring break. Returning now we knew it had awesome potential.

Knowing how easy to not really be noticed in the sea of cars, we teamed up with our partner, SSP Vinyl, to be a booth car. Obviously the benefits of being in the vendor area are great. Guaranteed parking, a tent, and the people come to you!  We had to leave at 5am to make the trip over. By 9:00 we were setup and the car was nice and clean for the show… well as clean as a battle hardened drift car can be after a season!

Cars and people were pouring in. The interstate (visible from our setup) was at a standstill with the exit overflowing with tuner cars trying to get there. The venue was filling up quick! We soon got word the police were actually directing traffic flow as they had a line in both directions on the main highway. Not only were the 2 large parking lots and pavilion area full, the grass lot in the back that was double the size was filled with more cars still trying to get in! It was amazing to see such a huge turnout. I heard estimates of 3,000+ cars in total from someone helping run the event.

The SSP booth was always slammed with drivers hungry for stickers to put on their rides. From 9-4pm there was a constant line. We got quite a bit of attention being one of the only true racecars on display.

After driving 3 hours home, we went straight to Jim’s BodyShop in Seminole, FL to drop off the car so they can work some paint and body magic for the PRI Show display in 2 weeks. We will have fresh vinyl and hopefully a few new partners on the car!
